Tour Description


Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Assistance on arrival Transfer to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.


Day 2: Delhi

Sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting the Raj Ghat, the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India; and the Red Fort - once the most opulent fort and palace of the Moghul Empire. Sightseeing tour of New Delhi visiting the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar. Drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and the President's Residence and end the tour with a drive through Diplomatic Enclave. Overnight at hotel.


Day 3: Delhi / Patana

Morning transfer to conenct the flight for Patna. Afternoon sightseeing of Patna. , besides being the capital of the state of Bihar, Patna is also an cultural metropolis and a great tourist centre. Some of its imposing buildings show how the aesthetic features of old architecture can be gracefully preserved even in a modern edifice. This is particularly true of the Museum, Khuda Baksh Oriental Library and Golghar, also visit the old Patliputra excavations. Overnight at hotel.


Day 4: Patana / Nalanda / Rajgir / Gaya

Morning drive to Gaya enroute visiting Nalanda Sightseeing tour of Nalanda once a famous Buddhist University, it came into prominence about the 5th century A.D. and was a great center of learning for about 700 years. It attracted students from all overIndia. Southeast Asia and China. The ruins of Nalanda & Rajgir. On Arrival chick-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.


Day 5: Bodhgaya / Varanasi

Morning visit the Bodhgaya The place where Buddha attained enlightenment. The tree under which Buddha attained wisdom is called the Bodhi Tree, While the Temple marking the sacred spot is known as Mahabodh Temple. This temple stands as a model of temples in Burma, Nepal and Sri Lanka Later drive to Varanasi. On Arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.


Day 6: Varanasi

Early morning, drive to Daswamedh Ghat and take a boat ride on the sacred river Ganges. Continue by boat to see burning and bathing Ghats. Later Half day sightseeing tour of the holy city of Varanasi. Visit some of the many Hindu Temples that line the river Ganges. Stroll along the narrow lanes and bazaars full of shops selling, among other things, the world-famous Banaras Silks. Afternoon visit Sarnath , just outside Varanasi - it's as holy to the Buddhists as Varanasi is to the Hindus. Here you will witness the ruins of a once flourishing Buddhist monastery and then visit a fine museum which houses an excellent collection of Buddhist art and sculpture (Friday closed). Overnight at hotel.


Day 7: Varanasi/Delhi

Today transfer to airport to connect the flight to Delhi. On Arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at hotel.


Day 8: Delhi / Onward Destination

In time transfer to connect the flight for onward destination.
